Seeking to make their mark in the emerging space economy, Progresja Space develops its own products on the market of small satellites, so called ‘smallsats’.
The startup’s innovation is providing dedicated, complete propulsion systems, closed in one module, which are connected to the CubeSat satellite rail and used by small satellites to enable disruptive services to function in the space economy.
The use of drives for small satellites will enable the functioning of a constellation of small satellites that will provide services such as 5G, satellite internet or Earth observation. At the same time, the drives will take care of the removal of space debris. Due to the dynamic development (miniaturisation, commercialisation) of small satellites, not all modules have kept up with their development.
Founder and CEO Tomasz Palacz
“In 2021, we secured a contract and financing from the European Space Agency for the development of our core satellite propulsion technology, offering crucial competitive advantages, around which we plan to build a strong business case for the global market.
We have also secured a funding round from a Polish VC company enabling us to demonstrate our products in space and kick start sales and a contract for an in-orbit demonstration of our first products – we will fly our subsystem aboard a satellite launched with Falcon 9 in December 2022. Right now, we work hard to meet that goal.”
The company have also started the process of rebranding, and in the following months, will roll out their new brand along with a new value proposition and business case.
“The new direction is certainly more difficult but offers a much higher potential for growth and impact in the space industry. We are really excited about that.”

Founder and CEO Krzysztof Przybylski:
“Participation in the InCredibles programme gave us a solid foundation to build our brand and image. The knowledge we gained during the workshops allowed us to better prepare for entering the market with the product. Meetings with experts made us look at certain processes differently, which resulted in an improvement of the business strategy.”
“Our greatest achievement since the completion of InCredibles has been the launch of the product on the market and the acquisition of the first customers among the largest construction companies in Poland. The great interest in the industry made us start the process of entering foreign markets.”
A pioneering biotechnology company that develops proprietary drug technologies and drug formulations in the fields of oncology and diabetology, Biotts have developed a breakthrough drug delivery technology, called the universal transdermal therapeutic system MTC-Y (Multifunctional Transdermal Carrier-Y) which increase the bioavailability of active substances several times, enabling them to penetrate through the skin into soft tissues and bones.

Thanks to the system, it is possible to reduce the therapeutic dose of the drug, while maintaining its original effect and simultaneously reducing the side effects. In addition, the system enables transport of one to several active substances, which makes it possible to design multi-component drugs.
CEO Paweł Biernat:
“Our participation in the Kulczyk InCredibles programme was a time of intense learning. In a series of sessions, including workshops that lasted several weeks and featured leading experts and consultants, we were able to improve our skills – particularly those related to successfully acquiring additional funding for our projects, managing our company, and building its value. In discussions with business practitioners, we learned about better pricing strategies for our goods and services that would allow us to generate higher profits. Besides mentoring and technical support, the agenda also included workshops on i.e. product design, effectively reaching customers and entering new markets. Each of these things has had a definite, positive impact on the entire Biotts team, as evidenced by the fact that we are currently in talks with the world’s biggest pharmaceutical companies. The program confirmed the attractiveness of our business model from a “big pharma” point of view – this because it takes into account the needs of our business partner, also in terms of how that company makes money. We can sell licences, work together with our partners to further develop potential new drugs, or even design an entirely new formulation that is tailored to the specific needs of a customer.”
“The last year has been a time of significant changes at Biotts: we managed to open a Boston (USA) office and moved into new, larger facilities (offices, lab) in Poland. We participated in a Google accelerator programme designed for European startups from the medical and healthcare industries. We received a nomination for the Presidential Economic Award granted by the President of Poland and were also acknowledged with an Impact Stars Award by Deloitte. Personally, as the company’s CEO, I was also recognized with a first-place finish in the “50 Most Creative People in Business” ranking. But the most important thing that happened last year was the preclinical research conducted by Biotts (in accordance with European Medical Agency standards). It confirmed that we are able to control the extent/depth to which our carrier penetrates the skin and increases the activity of various drugs. In vitro, in vivo and penetration testing confirmed that our carrier is not only 100% safe, but also has a very real and positive impact on a patient’s quality of life.”

In all these areas we were challenged and advised. For example, we had an opportunity to talk to Supreet Singh Manchanda (a former CEO, CTO & CIO and currently investor).“
“Our biggest achievement in 2021 was to win the biggest commercial contract in the water and sewage sector in Poland. We proposed our product Scadvance XP as a key tool that allows for the monitoring of an industrial network and detects any anomalies in this network (including appearance of threat actors, cyberthreats, vulnerabilities etc.). Our mission is to make industrial networks resilient towards cyberthreats. As the interest in industrial cybersecurity is growing continuously, we believe 2022 will be even more successful both for ICsec and for our clients as well.”

“As part of the cooperation, we will create a showroom showing the circulation of digital money on blockchain in a test environment, which will be used by FIS and its clients – primarily banks and payment institutions in the USA.”
The company will also continue with the European Blockchain Services Infrastructure, EBSI project.
“We will continue to develop the EBSI project, moving from the concept phase to working solutions: a blockchain platform for managing tokenized IP rights and a product passport in the circular economy. In the latter case, we will focus on two specific products for which the certainty of the origin of the raw materials and the possibility of their recycling play a significant role: plastic and car batteries.”
In addition, the company will take an active part in the work related to the digital currency of the central bank as part of the Digital Pound Foundation and the Digital Euro Association and are eager to discuss the topic in Poland.
The company also intend to conduct another round of financing in mid-2022 to raise funds from a large institutional investor with the aim of allocating new funds to product development, increasing sales and marketing efforts and opening our blockchain platform to third parties.
Their description of their experience with the InCredibles Programme 2019:

This hybrid solution allows for the functionality of both the MagRail system and conventional trains on the same tracks.
However, the company’s ultimate goal – hyperloop – will require new dedicated infrastructure. It will enable vehicles to travel at up to 1,200 kph (746 mph). Hyperloop is a cross between a train and an airplane.
It will enable travel between Frankfurt and Berlin in 30 minutes, travelling near the speed of sound. The pod moves in a special tube, in which air pressure is as low as it is at an altitude of 10 km, which greatly reduces air resistance. It travels without contact with the tunnel using magnetic levitation.
CPO and Co-Foundar Przemek Ben Pączek & Product Design Director and Co-Foundar Kasia Foljanty:
“Apart from gaining significant new investors and partners, we consider it a great success how the technology invented by Nevomo found recognition among the largest European railway operators. This is undoubtedly the best confirmation of the credibility of our strategy and technology that we can get from the market, and a confirmation of the need for this type of mobility solution which can take railways to a completely new dimension.”
“As a result, Nevomo started preparations for the first 1:1 scale technology tests on a track in Nowa Sarzyna, Poland, as well as strategic cooperation with Rete Ferroviaria Italiana aimed at conducting the first full-scale MagRail system pilot on a test track located on the RFI test facility in Bologna San Donato. The test track will allow us to test the system in operation under different track conditions, at different speeds and, as a result, to take another big step towards building vehicles for passenger and freight transport.”
Describing their experience of the Incredibles Programme 2019, Nevomo said:
“Participation in the InCredibles mentorship programme gave us, above all, access to new partners and investors. With this, we could easily establish different relationships crucial for our MagRail technology. From our perspective, a very important part of the program was also the organiation of workshops, where key topics for the development of companies like ours were discussed. We also appreciated the webinar on the situation of startups in the pandemic. At that moment, when the number of infections in Poland was just beginning to grow, no one was able to predict the scale and its consequences. InCredibles was quick to respond, offering us its expertise and experience at a time when we all needed it.”
In 2022, the company intend to conduct the first full-scale tests of their technology and make progress on the project to create a test track in Italy. They will also continue working on strategic partnerships which will bring them closer to the implementation of the MagRail system.
